Kisspeptin-10- Summary
- PE-22-28 is a synthetic analog of spadin derived from sortilin, designed to block TREK-1 potassium channels with rapid-onset antidepressant and neurogenic effects. It shows fast-acting depression relief (within 24 hours) and promotes hippocampal neurogenesis.
- Kisspeptin-10 is the biologically active C-terminal decapeptide of kisspeptin, an endogenous regulator of the reproductive axis. It acts upstream of GnRH to potently stimulate LH and testosterone release, and plays a key role in sexual arousal and libido.
- Half-Life
- Relatively short; CNS effects may persist due to neurogenic mechanisms
- ~4 minutes (rapidly degraded); longer-acting analogs like TAK-448 are in development
- Admin Route
- SubQ, Intranasal
- SubQ, IV
