Mechanism of Action#

Selank modulates brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and various neurotransmitters including serotonin, dopamine, and GABA. It stabilizes enkephalins in the blood, providing anxiolytic effects while enhancing cognitive performance and memory. Unlike benzodiazepines, it does not cause sedation, tolerance, or dependence. It also modulates the IL-6 pathway and has immunomodulatory properties.
