- MGF (Mechano Growth Factor) is a splice variant of IGF-1 that is locally produced in muscle tissue in response to mechanical damage from exercise. It activates muscle satellite cells (stem cells) to proliferate and repair damaged fibers, making it specifically targeted at exercise-induced hypertrophy.
- Eloralintide is a long-acting amylin analog under development by OPKO Health. Amylin is co-secreted with insulin and regulates post-meal glucose by slowing gastric emptying, suppressing glucagon, and promoting satiety. Eloralintide is designed for once-weekly dosing, differentiating it from the short-acting pramlintide (Symlin).
