LL-37
Summary
Follistatin 344 is a recombinant form of the endogenous follistatin protein. It inhibits myostatin and activin — the primary negative regulators of muscle growth — potentially removing the genetic ceiling on muscle development. It is one of the most theoretically powerful anabolic compounds but is experimental with limited human data.
LL-37 is the only known human cathelicidin antimicrobial peptide. It kills bacteria, fungi, and viruses by disrupting their membranes, while simultaneously modulating immune responses. Used for antimicrobial protection, immune priming, and wound healing.
Half-Life
~24–36 hours
Very short (~1–2 hours) in plasma due to protease degradation; topical use bypasses systemic clearance

Key Benefits
  • Inhibits myostatin — removes muscle growth ceiling
  • Significant increases in muscle mass and strength
  • Reduces fat mass
  • Promotes bone density
  • May stimulate hair follicle cycling
  • Anti-fibrotic effects in muscle tissue
  • Synergistic with IGF-1 and other anabolic peptides
  • Broad-spectrum antimicrobial (bacteria, fungi, viruses)
  • Promotes wound healing and angiogenesis
  • Immune system modulation — enhances innate immunity
  • Reduces LPS-mediated endotoxemia
  • Anti-biofilm activity against resistant organisms
  • Promotes tissue regeneration and keratinocyte migration
  • May protect against sepsis
Side Effects
  • Muscle soreness (from rapid hypertrophy)
  • Potential reproductive effects (activin inhibition)
  • Unknown long-term safety profile
  • Possible esophageal effects at high doses (animal data)
  • Injection site redness and irritation
  • Mild inflammatory response at injection site
  • Potential pro-inflammatory at high doses
  • Rare: fever or flu-like symptoms at initiation
